Monthly Archives: February 2012
Finally, here is Sweet Valentine. A kit for all your valentine layouts or craft projects. I think this is my new favorite kit of mine. The colors are delicious and the little heart banners are adorable. You can buy the whole kit for $5.00 by clicking on the preview below:
I also created a fun little collection of journaling cards that easily fit into Project Life, P365 or P52 or even Project12 layouts. Print them out and add your journaling or add them to your digital layouts, as is. They’re on sale for only $2.00. Click on the image to link to the store.
If desired, you can also purchase the paper set or element set separately for $2.99 each.
Have a Happy Valentines Day!!
And since it’s actually February today, I get to show you the super sweet Valentine products I designed for this month. These photo card templates can be easily customized in Photoshop with your own photos and words. They’re a part of the February Plum Pickins’ and are only $2 this month. I made some of the ticket cards for my oldest daughter. I just added her picture, her name and printed them out on 4×6″ photo paper. Once printed, I just used a paper cutter to slice the photo in half. Two valentines for the price of one! Here’s a preview of all the cards included:
Here are some previews of the cards in use:
Each month at Polka Dot Plum we’re given a color swatch and told to create whatever we want to contribute to a store collaboration. These are usually priced at $2 or $3 and can be mixed and matched as they all include the same colors. January is over, but you can still access the kits by clicking on January’s Plum Pickins’ link at the store. Here’s a preview of my contribution kit:
You can buy this kit for only $3! Just click on the image preview to go to my store. Here are a few more previews of the papers and elements up close:
I never did get a chance to showcase my January releases here. Where did January go? I’m not very good at the “social networking” that goes along with selling your products. Sometimes I think I would enjoy just giving my designs away for free. So much less commitment, so much more audience. For now, the store requires me to set a schedule and keep designing, which is good for me. I don’t think I would maintain designing as much if I didn’t have something specific to have it done for. I’m not that motivated. So, this gives me motivation and time to build my skills for whatever may come.
So, on to January’s releases. Both of my releases for January were for collaborations, either for Polka Dot Plum or for The Digiscrap Addicts monthly promotional newsletter called The Fix. They highlight a few different stores or designers in their newsletter and then sell a huge collaboration kit with portions contributed by all the designers shown. It’s a great deal if you’re looking to “test” out a few “new-to-you” designers in a great big package, all for $5.00. Anyway, here is a preview of my portion:

Cute, huh? I love those little snowmen. I’m loving Illustrator and learning to draw all my own artwork. I actually feel like a real artist! To buy this kit and all the other kits included, click on the preview below. It’s available until February 15th.
