Kinderheights Preschool

Kinderheights Preschool was a fun design process for me. I got to use colors I might not normally choose, as they were the life and blood of this site. What Preschool website isn’t colorful and bright!? It was also a new venture for me, as it was my first web design done on WordPress. The client had some requests for her site that made a normal HTML-based website seem a little clunky for the tasks. First of all, she wanted a private section for parents to securely visit and see photos of their kids at school, a calendar of events and special news announcements just for them. All of these items required not only password-protected, registered user access, but a gallery system for photos, a calendar system for events and a blogging platform for news. I knew she might want to have access to these sections to make changes herself, as well. So, after some research, WordPress became the top contender. And it just keeps working well every year for the tasks she wants. I can easily go into the site and update events, news and photos and it’s all password-protected so parents feel their information is safe and secure. Too bad this is her last year teaching! It’s been a fun site to manage.
